Share your agent¶
One agent, several people. Invite your partner, a colleague or a whole team: everyone gets their own conversations, their own language and their own Telegram, while the agent with its skills, memory and server stays one and the same.
-
Everyone is a full user
An invited user can do everything with the agent that you can: chat, work with files, change the model, the persona and the settings.
-
Personal conversations
Everyone sees only their own chats, you included, unless you work together in a shared project.
-
Every change is announced
When someone changes a setting, everyone hears who changed what. You're told when someone is invited or joins, too.
-
One agent, one credit
Everyone's usage comes out of the agent's credit, and the payments stay yours alone.
1 Allow additional users¶
Open your agent's panel → Settings → Users and switch on Allow additional users. It's off by default.
Invite only people you trust
Everyone gets their own chats, preferences and working folder, but the agent's tools run under the same account on its server for all of them. It's a shared computer, not a security sandbox. And everyone's usage is charged to this agent.
2 Invite someone¶
Under Trusted users pick one of two ways:
-
Invite by email
Type their address and press Send invitation. We email them personal links, one for the web panel and one for Telegram.
-
Invite with a link
Get a personal link and pass it on yourself, in a chat, by text message, however you like. Copy it with one tap.
An invitation is personal: share it only with the person it's for. An unused invitation expires after 24 hours; after that you simply send a new one.
📲 In Telegram, the owner finds the same under /menu → Settings → 👥 Trusted users: switch sharing on, then ✉️ Invite by email or 🔗 Get a share link.
Or let the agent invite¶
Below the switch there's Let the agent invite users. With it on, you can ask the agent itself to create invitation links or send e-mail invitations, for example “make me ten invitation links for my course group, valid for two days”. It's off by default, so the agent never hands out access on its own initiative. The users list shows the people it invited as Invited by the agent.
3 They join¶
The link opens a short Activate your access page with two buttons:
- Activate and open the web panel: the agent's panel opens for them, and this browser remembers them from now on.
- Connect Telegram: the shared agent appears in their Telegram, ready to chat.
They can do either or both. No account, password or payment is needed on their side. On Telegram, the shared agent behaves like one of their own: it answers right in the mintbot chat, or, if they already have agents, it gets its own contact or a place in 🤖 Your agents, marked shared with you. Use /new to start a fresh conversation.
Once they've joined, their access lasts until someone removes them or sharing is switched off.
💡 Planning to use Telegram? Connect it straight from the invitation. The links in it work once and only while the invitation is valid, so connecting Telegram later takes a new invitation.
What an invited user can do¶
Everything you can do with the agent itself. Invited users are equal users: they chat in the panel and on Telegram, send files through the panel, use voice messages, switch the model and the provider, change the persona and the settings, use the File manager and Terminal, and invite more people. A few things stay with you, the owner, because they're about your account rather than the agent:
Everyone
- Conversations, files, voice
- Model, provider and the agent's settings
- Persona and skills
- File manager and Terminal
- Inviting and removing other users
- Projects
The owner only
- Payments: subscription, invoices, credit top-ups
- Move data in from your other agents
- Deleting the agent
- The Allow additional users switch, and Let the agent invite users
- The owner's own sign-in security: two-step sign-in (TOTP) and browser sessions
When the agent runs out of credit, invited users get a polite note to ask you to top up.
Who sees what¶
Conversations are personal for everyone, the owner included: you don't see your invited users' chats, and they don't see yours or each other's. The exception is a shared project, whose conversations are open to everyone who uses the agent.
Background jobs go with their project. A shared project's job is everyone's: every user sees it under Settings → Background jobs and gets its notifications. Any other job is personal, like a conversation: only the person it belongs to sees it and is notified.
Notifications from mintbot itself are yours, the owner's, when they are about your account: receipts, invoices, and who was invited or joined. The nightly update report and news of a new model reach everyone, because they concern whoever uses the agent.
Settings and files
| Personal to each user | Shared by everyone |
|---|---|
| Language, time zone, voice replies | Model, provider, persona and every other agent setting |
| Telegram connection, additional security | Memory, skills and credit |
| Your own working folder and private projects | Shared projects, the server and its files |
On a shared agent, the panel's settings mark the ones that are yours alone, and My settings in the list shows just those.
Personal, not secret
Nobody can open your conversations in the panel or on Telegram, but everyone's work runs on the same server under the same account, and every user can browse its files in the File manager. Treat a shared agent like a shared computer: keep anything truly private on an agent of your own.
Staying in control¶
The users list under Settings → Users shows everyone with access: you as the Agent owner first, then each person with their state (Active, Pending or Invitation expired), when they were invited and when they joined, who invited them, and their Telegram name once they've connected it.
Every change has a name on it. On an agent with several users, when anyone changes one of its settings (the model, the provider, the persona, the server), every user gets a notice in the panel and on Telegram saying who changed what, from what to what. Personal preferences such as someone's language aren't announced. You, the owner, also hear when someone is invited, joins, or connects Telegram.
Removing someone takes one click: Remove next to their name, then confirm. Their access to the panel and Telegram stops at once, and they leave the list. Any user can remove another one, but nobody can remove the owner, or themselves.
Switching sharing off under Allow additional users cancels every invitation and everyone's access in one go. Their folders stay on the server. To let people back in, switch it on and invite them again.
For the invited user¶
- Your conversations are your own. Nobody else sees them, the owner included, and the agent answers you in your own language and voice.
- On Telegram, send text and voice. Photos and files go through the web panel.
- Your background jobs report to you. A job you create, in the panel or by asking the agent, sends its notifications to you, not to the owner: in the panel and on your Telegram. A job in a shared project reports to everyone. If you leave the agent, the owner gets your jobs' notifications from then on.
- Leave Telegram whenever you like: in the panel, Settings → Messaging → Telegram → Disconnect on your own row. Your panel access and chat history stay. To reconnect, you need a new invitation.
- Done with the agent? Ask the owner, or another user, to remove you: nobody can remove themselves.
- Everything else is the same agent. Whatever you change in its settings changes it for everyone, and everyone is told.
Good to know¶
- Work together in projects. A shared project gives everyone the same files and lets several people work on the same conversation, in the panel or on Telegram (/sessions, the 👥 rows).
- Group topics work too. In a Telegram group set up with /setup, every agent shared with you gets its own topic next to your own agents (see Several agents at once).
- One message at a time in a shared chat. If the agent is still answering someone else in the same conversation, you're asked to send yours once the reply is in.
- The agent knows who it's talking to. Each invited user's messages carry their name, so it can tell people apart.
- No head count. There's no limit on how many people you invite. Just remember that everyone's usage comes out of the same credit.
